The Bombay High Court has removed damaging remarks from a report concerning Sudhir Medhekar, dean at Cooper hospital, regarding his handling of a sexual harassment allegation.
The court noted that these remarks, made by the Main Internal Complaint Committee (MICC), unfairly tarnished Medhekar's professional reputation, despite not being directly accused of any misconduct.
The decision also nullifies a warning memo issued by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), emphasizing the breach of justice, as Medhekar wasn't granted an opportunity to defend himself against the committee's criticisms.
