Dramatic Police Encounter Leads to Arrest of Wanted Criminal

A suspect, Shahjaan, involved in a high-stakes robbery case with a reward of Rs 25,000, was captured following a police encounter on Tuesday.

The incident unfolded when Shahjaan attempted to evade the Dehat Kotwali police during a nighttime vehicle check on the Devla-Sarkadi Khumar road. As officers signaled him to stop, he fled, prompting a chase.

During the pursuit, Shahjaan's motorcycle skidded, leading him to allegedly fire at the police. Officers, acting in self-defense, retaliated and injured him, ultimately resulting in his detention. Shahjaan, who faces numerous charges, was found with a firearm, ammunition, stolen motorcycle, and cash. He remains hospitalized as legal proceedings progress.
