Delhi Police have uncovered a counterfeit clothing racket selling fake branded garments and accessories at cut-rate prices in Vasant Kunj, officials announced on Tuesday. One person has been arrested, while the main suspect remains at large.

The bust occurred following a complaint from Brand Protectors India Pvt Ltd, which discovered fake premium brand merchandise being fraudulently marketed as genuine at discount prices. Police raided a hotel in Vasant Kunj on May 3, finding a well-organized exhibition featuring garments labeled under brands like Peter England, Allen Solly, and Zara, among others.

Authorities arrested Iqbal, 51, during the operation, accusing him of managing the exhibition. Iqbal implicated the alleged mastermind, Farukh Ahmad, currently evading capture. Ahmad is believed to have orchestrated the counterfeit supply network across various locations. Police seized a large inventory, including clothing, accessories, and Rs 2.87 lakh in cash, launching an extensive investigation to dismantle the counterfeit sales network.
