FAA Contractor Arrested for Threatening President Trump via Email
An FAA employee, Dean DelleChiaie, is accused of threatening President Trump in an email. Using his work computer, he researched assassination topics. Intervied by authorities, he expressed remorse. Arrested after a related security breach, he faces charges of interstate threat communication.
Dean DelleChiaie, a Federal Aviation Administration worker in New Hampshire, faces serious allegations for sending a threatening email to the White House aimed at President Donald Trump. DelleChiaie allegedly used his work computer at the FAA to research assassination methods and related topics.
Court documents reveal that DelleChiaie, a Nashua resident, sent a message identifying himself and expressing the intent to 'neutralize/kill' the president. Authorities were alerted to his activities after he attempted to have his search history deleted by FAA's IT department, who, instead, reported him.
On Tuesday, DelleChiaie is anticipated to appear in court for an initial hearing on charges of interstate communication of a threat against the president. The case comes in the wake of a separate security incident, during which another individual tried to breach the White House Correspondents' Association dinner with weapons.
