Tragic Family Feud: Domestic Dispute Leads to Double Homicide in Raipur

In a shocking turn of events, Raipur's relentless undercurrents of domestic unrest culminated in tragedy on Tuesday night. Following an altercation with his wife over ongoing domestic issues, Jitendra Verma allegedly took the lives of his wife's two sisters in a moment of rage. The fatal incident unfolded in the Mowa area, with police mobilizing swiftly as the news broke.

According to police reports, Verma had engaged in repetitive disputes with his wife, Khileshwari Verma, who had left with their child to her parental home following their argument. Determined to see his child, Verma arrived armed at his in-laws' residence, where an altercation with his sisters-in-law tragically ended with gunfire.

Geetanjali Verma, aged 26, died instantly from a gunshot to the forehead. Her sister, 24-year-old Durgeshwari Verma, sustained critical injuries and later died in the hospital. After surrendering to authorities at the Pandri police station, Verma was arrested, and his weapon confiscated. A thorough investigation into the incident and its sinister cascade is currently in progress.
