Late-Night Assault: Engineering Student, Software Engineer Held
Two police officers were assaulted by four youths in Bengaluru while on patrol after asking them to refrain from drinking in public. Two suspects, an engineering student and a software engineer, have been arrested. Efforts continue to apprehend the other two involved in the attack.

In the early hours of May 1, a serious incident unfolded in Bengaluru, when two police officers were allegedly assaulted while performing their patrolling duties. The police personnel, attached to Amrutahalli station, encountered a group of four young men consuming alcohol in a public space, near Akashavani Layout.
Upon instructing the youths to stop drinking, the officers faced unexpected aggression. One of the young men reportedly began to verbally abuse the officers before the confrontation escalated. The group allegedly attacked the officers, even tearing one officer's uniform and using rings to inflict injuries.
The situation intensified as the suspects purportedly stole the officers' vehicle key and fled. Two young men, an engineering student and a software engineer, have since been arrested. Authorities are actively pursuing the remaining two suspects, who have been identified, to ensure they face justice.
