Edmond Police announced the arrest and charges related to the Sunday night shooting, which occurred amid a large gathering of party-goers at a picnic pavilion beside the popular lake. An argument among the group reportedly led to the incident.
Authorities charged the suspect with assault with a deadly weapon, with plans to upgrade to felony murder, as revealed by Edmond Police Chief J D Younger. The party, mainly attended by young adults, had been promoted extensively on social media without the required permits, drawing a significant crowd.
