The Delhi Congress has launched a strong opposition against the eviction notices issued to 310 families residing near Yamuna Bazar and Nigam Bodh Ghat.
Party chief Devender Yadav argues that these families have historically significant ties to the area, having provided essential services at the cremation ground for over a century.
Yadav accuses the BJP-led Delhi government of pursuing an eviction drive under the guise of beautification, which threatens to dismantle the livelihoods of traditional workers in the Yamuna ghats area.
