Nashik Police have apprehended a suspect in connection with the NEET paper leak, following a request from Rajasthan Police, according to an official statement.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Kirankumar Chauhan confirmed the involvement of Nashik police Crime Branch Unit 2 in detaining the individual. This action comes amid mounting concerns over the integrity of the examination process.
In light of the leak, the National Testing Agency has canceled the NEET (UG) 2026 exam, initially held on May 3. The government has tasked the CBI with conducting a thorough investigation into these irregularities.
