The incident, occurring during the early hours on the border between Monday and Tuesday, involved an intoxicated man, identified as Narayan, who reportedly began abusing and attacking his wife, Mohini alias Priyanka. Despite pleas to remain quiet to avoid disturbing their sleeping children, the altercation escalated.

In a fit of rage, Narayan allegedly tossed their three-year-old son from a cot before forcefully snatching the infant Divyanshi from her mother's arms and hurling her towards a wall, fatally injuring her. Witnesses gathered following the commotion, but the accused fled before police arrived. The authorities are actively pursuing the suspect as they continue their investigation.
