Massive Sweep: Rajasthan Police's Triumph Over Organized Crime
The Rajasthan Police conducted a special three-day statewide drive, arresting over 1,600 criminals involved in organized crime, illegal arms, and gang activities. From May 9 to May 11, authorities targeted gangsters, traffickers, and wanted criminals. The operation led to numerous arrests, seizures of illegal weapons, and preventive actions in the state.

In an extraordinary statewide effort, the Rajasthan Police have arrested more than 1,600 offenders in a strategic crackdown on organized crime, illegal arms vendors, and notorious gangsters. The operation, carried out from May 9 to May 11, targeted a wide network of criminals across all districts, officials reported on Wednesday.
The Anti-Gangster Task Force, led by ADG Dinesh MN, coordinated the massive action which led to the arrest of 1,617 individuals. Extensive raids were held at 605 locations associated with hardcore criminals, resulting in the arrest of 163 individuals, while preventative measures were also implemented against 195 persons.
Among those detained were 270 wanted criminals carrying rewards from various parts of the state. Additionally, efforts focused on illegal arms trade saw the arrest of 417 suspects and the seizure of numerous illegal weapons, adding 121 fresh cases under the Arms Act. The police also dismantled elements of gang networks by apprehending 55 affiliates, curbing the influence of these groups via strategic social media interventions.
