In a major crackdown on narcotics, Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday arrested two individuals, including a woman, suspected of being part of an interstate drug trafficking network.
The operation began when police at Qazigund's Churrat naka detained Shakoor Khan, recovering 6.9 grams of heroin from him. Subsequent investigations identified Rekha, residing in Kulgam, as a key figure, leading to her arrest.
A raid on Rekha's residence revealed 8.4 grams of heroin and drugs paraphernalia. During interrogation, she admitted to an extensive client base and familial involvement in the trade. The probe aims to unravel deeper connections within the narcotics network.
