A shocking crime nearly led to tragedy near Marayamuttom as a live wire was linked to a home's front door handle, police reported on Friday. A young boy was slightly injured when he unsuspectingly grasped the handle, receiving an electric shock.

According to law enforcement, the incident unfolded when the child ventured outside to discover a hazardous live wire connected to the handle from the meter box. He immediately notified his uncle, who resides close by, prompting quick action to disable the power and alert authorities.
