West Bengal is poised for a thorough examination of its developmental progress as Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari hosts his first district-level development review meeting on May 21. The districts of Purulia, Bankura, Paschim Bardhaman, Birbhum, and Purba Bardhaman are slated to participate.
The Chief Minister's Office has communicated detailed instructions to the district administrations, requesting comprehensive reports on ongoing projects. These reports should cover the status of schemes under implementation, progress to date, and any projects encountering delays or slowdowns.
Ahead of the May 21 meeting, district officials are expected to convene with newly-elected MLAs to collect proposals for future development initiatives. The goal is to compile a consolidated list of recommendations prioritizing key projects, which will be presented at the upcoming review meeting.
