Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to chair the Central Zonal Council's 26th meeting in the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh on May 19, officials announced on Friday.

Chief ministers from Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Chhattisgarh will attend, with preparations already underway, led by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.

Sai emphasized that hosting the meeting in Bastar is symbolic of the state’s commitment to development, reflecting peace restored in the region under leadership from the nation's top officials.
