Tragedy Strikes at Gujarat Factory: Three Workers Die in ETP Accident
Three workers tragically lost their lives due to asphyxiation while cleaning an ETP tank at a factory in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The incident happened late Thursday night. Police are conducting an investigation into the deaths, which involved workers from Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
In a tragic incident at a factory in Gujarat's Gandhinagar district, three workers died of asphyxiation while cleaning an Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) tank, police reported on Friday.
The unfortunate event unfolded late Thursday night at Mafatlal Gujarat Industries located in Saij area, where four workers were involved in the cleaning operation.
The deceased were identified as Amit Parihar (32) from Madhya Pradesh and Amarkumar Shrivastav (37) and Shivnath Dubey (44), both hailing from Uttar Pradesh. Another worker, Anil Lodhi, is currently undergoing treatment. The incident occurred as the workers were dealing with colored wastewater from tarpaulin cloth processing collected in the tank. While Parihar and Srivastav were the first to enter the tank and fell unconscious, Lodhi and Dubey followed in and suffocated as well. A police investigation is underway to delve into the circumstances of this tragedy.
