Operation RAGEPILL: Captagon Seizure Marks Major Drug-Free India Milestone

Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced the Narcotics Control Bureau’s first seizure of Captagon, valued at Rs 182 crore. Dubbed the 'Jihadi Drug', the consignment was bound for the Middle East. This marks a significant step in the Indian government's commitment to a 'Drug-Free India'.

The Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, unveiled the significant milestone achieved by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) with the seizure of Captagon, also known as the 'Jihadi Drug'. The first of its kind, this consignment is valued at Rs 182 crore.

Through a post on X, Shah emphasized the Modi government's dedication to eradicating drugs from the nation, stating, "The busting of the drug consignment destined for the Middle East and the arrest of a foreign national stand out as shining examples of our commitment to zero tolerance against drugs."

This pivotal action underlines India's staunch stance against drug trafficking, as Shah reiterated the government’s rigorous strategy to prevent any drug from entering or exiting the country. He praised the NCB's efforts and labelled them as 'brave and vigilant warriors'.
