In a significant breakthrough, the Delhi Police have dismantled a 'sextortion' racket that exploited victims through deceitful video calls. On Saturday, authorities revealed the arrest of the alleged ringleader, Arman, aged 23, in Ladamka village, Rajasthan's Deeg district, marking a major step in curbing this alarming crime.

The investigation was prompted by a complaint lodged on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal. The victim accused the perpetrators of coercing him into compromising scenarios during an indecent video call, later demanding Rs 1 lakh to prevent the spread of a recorded clip.

Officials uncovered 150 obscene videos during Arman's arrest, leading them to speculate numerous victims might be ensnared. The police are intensifying efforts to unearth the remaining members of this network and dismantle the operation comprehensively.
