Operation Crackdown: Jharkhand Police Seize Illicit Goods Worth Rs 40 Lakh
In a decisive operation, Jharkhand Police seized illegal liquor and narcotics valued at over Rs 40 lakh, arresting six people in two districts. The raids took place in Palamu and Deoghar districts, leading to the confiscation of spurious liquor, cannabis, mobile phones, a motorcycle, and cash.

In a significant crackdown, Jharkhand Police have confiscated illicit liquor and narcotics valued at over Rs 40 lakh, arresting six individuals as part of operations conducted in Palamu and Deoghar districts. Officials confirmed the large-scale seizures on Saturday.
In the Palamu district, police discovered 710 cases of spurious liquor hidden in a house in Khairadohar village on Friday. Amit Kumar Singh, Excise Inspector of Hussainabad, stated that the seized liquor is estimated to be worth around Rs 30 lakh.
Meanwhile, in Deoghar district, six individuals, including three from the neighboring state of Bihar, were arrested. Police recovered 20.75 kg of cannabis, valued at Rs 10.37 lakh, in addition to two mobile phones, a motorcycle, and cash, Deoghar SP Praveen Pushkar disclosed.
