In a shocking incident on Saturday, a 28-year-old woman, Kiran Chandel, reportedly leaped into the Shakti Canal in Vikasnagar with her two daughters.

Passersby quickly sprang into action, rescuing the children—a three-year-old and a three-month-old infant. The scene unfolded near Bridge Number 1 at around 4:30 PM.

Despite an extensive search by police and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), the woman remains missing. Authorities are investigating the reasons behind her drastic action, while the rescued children receive medical attention.
