Maharashtra's Census 2027: A Digital Leap in Self-Enumeration

In Maharashtra, over 11.14 lakh households completed self-enumeration for Census 2027 through an online platform. The effort, part of the House-Listing and Housing Census Operations, allowed residents to input their data conveniently via a web portal, with Pune leading in participation numbers. Officials assure physical visits for those unable to complete online.

In a significant stride toward digital enumeration, more than 11.14 lakh households across Maharashtra have successfully completed the self-enumeration process for Census 2027, as per official reports.

The initiative, running from May 1 to 15, enabled residents to input their details through a user-friendly online portal. This effort comes under the umbrella of the House-Listing and Housing Census Operations. Notably, Pune led the participation, with over 1.53 lakh households recording their information.

While the digital transition has garnered substantial participation, officials assured that enumerators will visit all households between May 16 to June 14 for traditional data collection, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
