A land dispute in Jharkhand's Pakur district has led to the alleged murder of a 53-year-old man, Bada Dukhia Pahadia. Local authorities have reported that the victim was a resident of Nipniya village, brutally murdered on the night of May 16.
The police discovered Pahadia's body on Sunday, prompting the establishment of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) by SP Anudeep Singh. The team, led by Maheshpur Sub-Divisional Police Officer Vijay Kumar, quickly launched an investigation resulting in the arrest of a 22-year-old suspect, Kalu Pahadia, also from Nipniya village.
Following a confession by the accused during interrogation, the police have taken Kalu Pahadia into custody. The case, registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), remains under investigation as authorities continue to gather more evidence.
