Crackdown on Drug Assets in Anantnag
Police in Anantnag have seized a house valued at Rs 1.10 crore belonging to alleged drug dealer Ajaz Ahmad Bhat. The property attachment is part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and seize illegally acquired assets.

In a significant move against drug trafficking in Jammu and Kashmir, police on Monday seized a residential property valued at Rs 1.10 crore. The property, located in Anantnag district, is linked to Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, an alleged drug peddler residing in Nowshara, Srigufwara area.
The double-storeyed house was attached under Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act, as part of the law enforcement's intensified campaign against illegal drug activities and the monetization of narcotics trade.
A police spokesman emphasized the importance of clamping down on illegal assets generated through narcotic transactions, describing it as a step toward eradicating the drug menace in the region.
