Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay on Tuesday held a meeting to review cases pending before the Supreme Court challenging the state's 69 per cent reservation policy in educational institutions and government jobs.
The cases are scheduled to come up for hearing on May 27, according to a press release.
In this context, the CM directed officials to take all necessary legal steps to safeguard the 69 per cent reservation policy currently in force in the state, the release said.
State ministers Aadhav Arjuna, R Nirmal Kumar and V Sampath Kumar, along with Advocate General Vijay Narayan and other officials, participated in the meeting.
