Police Rescue Abducted Toddler After Dramatic Chase in Bareilly

In a daring rescue operation, police in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, successfully recovered a one-year-old boy who had been kidnapped from the Manauna Dham temple complex. The dramatic incident culminated in a roadside encounter where two suspects attempting to flee with the child on a motorcycle were apprehended.
Authorities revealed that the kidnapping plot involved selling the child to a childless couple for Rs 60,000. Acting on a tip-off, five coordinated police teams utilized CCTV footage and other evidence to track down the perpetrators. The suspects were intercepted near the Fulasi area, and when they attempted to escape, a confrontation ensued, resulting in both suspects sustaining injuries.
The alleged mastermind, believed to be affiliated with a criminal gang in Lakhimpur Kheri, is currently being pursued as the investigation continues. Police recovered weapons and ammunition from the scene and have sent a team to trace the gang leader, ensuring the safe return of the toddler to his family.
