Law enforcement agencies in Kerala have detained eight suspects following an attack on Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials. The violence erupted after a raid at the residence of former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. According to state police chief Ravada A Chandrasekhar, additional potential suspects have been identified, and the investigation is progressing effectively.

During a meeting with Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala, Chandrasekhar assured that decisive measures will be taken against those responsible for the incident. The police have booked approximately 300 individuals involved in the aggression, launching cases under several sections, including those pertaining to unlawful assembly, rioting, and attempts to murder. The events were linked to an ED investigation into financial transactions involving Vijayan's daughter's firm.
