Raja, along with Somdev Devvarman, successfully contested the 2024 AITA elections, resulting in the appointment of former Chief Justice Geeta Mittal as an administrator to align the federation's operations with the National Sports Governance Act. Raja highlights that financial audits and fair democratic practices are crucial for reforming the system.

Expressing skepticism over the current operations, Raja argued that the same individuals have dominated for decades, holding back progress. He underscored that the tennis body should have player representatives chosen independently, not selected by the federation to avoid biases.
