Om Birla Unveils 89 Historic Volumes of Assembly Records

Om Birla has unveiled 89 volumes detailing the proceedings of the Central Legislative Assembly from 1924 to 1930. These documents, presented at the Delhi Assembly, aim to educate younger generations about legislative history. This initiative underscores the importance of understanding democratic functions during colonial times.

Om Birla introduced 89 historical volumes chronicling the Central Legislative Assembly's proceedings from 1924 to 1930, aiming to offer insights into legislative practices during British rule. Presented at the Delhi Assembly, these compilations were accompanied by the launch of 'Vidhan Chetna,' a new assembly magazine.

Birla, joined by Kiren Rijiju, highlighted the essential role these documents play in educating the public on parliamentary history. Birla stated that these records will inspire democratic values across the nation. Rijiju emphasized the necessity of preserving parliamentary documentation to uphold the foundations of democracy and warned against using assemblies for self-promotion.
