A man has been arrested following a fatal stabbing of a fruit trader at Khandsa Mandi in Gurugram. The incident, which unfolded after a dispute over a fruit cart's parking, led to the death of 55-year-old Bharat Bhushan. Police confirmed the arrest on Wednesday.
According to officials, CCTV footage captured the incident where Jai Bhagwan, a neighboring trader, repeatedly stabbed Bhushan with a large needle in full view of bystanders. The argument over parking quickly escalated, resulting in immediate tragedy. The weapon is expected to be recovered during the suspect's police remand.
News of the altercation reached authorities after Bhushan succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. His brother's testimony about the argument, which began after they parked their cart, supported police evidence. Bhagwan, whose history includes charges under the Gambling Act, was arrested in Sonipat.
