A worker inadvertently fell inside and others followed in an attempt to save him, leading to deadly exposure to toxic fumes. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the NHRC has taken suo motu cognizance.
The commission's notice includes a directive to assess the status of the ongoing investigation, the condition of an injured worker, and details on compensation for the victims' families, emphasizing the critical need for thorough scrutiny.
