Balka Suman, a former member of parliament and affiliated with BRS, has been detained by authorities following accusations that he incited militant actions among party trade union activists at Singareni Collieries. The allegations suggest Suman encouraged setting fire to the company's office and disrupting railway services to rally worker support.

The arrest followed a formal complaint by an official from Singareni, leading to a case registered at the Nampally police station. As part of their investigation, police reached the BRS office, where party members protested the Congress government and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Before his arrest, Suman dismissed the charges as political harassment but vowed to cooperate with the legal process.

Earlier, Suman urged members of the Telangana Boggu Gani Karmika Sangham to adopt a more aggressive stance, claiming passive tactics were ineffective. His statements drew criticism from high-profile politicians, igniting tension among regional parties. While condemning the remarks, Union Minister Kishan Reddy demanded a crackdown, while Suman defended his words as a call to action against government inaction and alleged corruption.
