A confrontation in Kasol, Himachal Pradesh, on Saturday evening spiraled into an open conflict involving gunfire at the Hotel Green Valley. The altercation was allegedly between tourists from Punjab and local residents.
The dispute, which unfolded at around 6 p.m., reportedly began over an unspecified issue. It quickly became physical, involving gunshots. Police from the Manikaran station responded promptly, detaining four individuals from Punjab. Those in custody are Manpreet Singh, Aman Randhawa, Sukhmandeep Singh, and Karndeep Singh. Another suspect, Taman from Gurdaspur, remains at large as law enforcement intensifies the search.
The police are initiating legal proceedings, registering an FIR under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act. As investigations proceed, authorities aim to establish a clear timeline and locate the firearm used in the clash. Initial reports suggest a local youth sustained a leg injury, though official confirmation is pending.
