Ananya Awasthi has been appointed as the first female Police Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to the Governor of Odisha, marking a historic moment in the state's leadership landscape. The induction ceremony took place at Lok Bhavan, where she was warmly welcomed to her groundbreaking new role.

Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati hailed Awasthi's appointment as a significant milestone in women's leadership. This achievement underscores a commitment to women's empowerment and leadership in public service. Previously, Awasthi served as an Assistant Commissioner of Police in Cuttack and takes over from IPS officer Kuldeep Meena. The Governor's aide team also includes Lieutenant Harshit Deo from the Indian Navy, continuing in his role.

Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena highlighted the historic nature of Awasthi's new position, emphasizing the strengthened presence of women in leadership roles across the state. Officials regard her appointment as a pivotal step forward for women's representation in Odisha.
