Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), the flagship youth engagement platform of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, has earned a Guinness World Records title for the "Most Users to Take an Online Quiz in One Week." The achievement was awarded after 390,812 participants successfully completed the full quiz during the official assessment period, setting a new global benchmark for online youth engagement. The Guinness World Records certificate was presented at a ceremony held at Shram Shakti Bhawan in New Delhi. The event was attended by Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of State Raksha Nikhil Khadse, Department of Youth Affairs Secretary Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil, senior government officials and representatives from Guinness World Records.
Viksit Bharat quiz attracts millions of young participants
The record was achieved through the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders' Dialogue (VBYLD) Quiz, a nationwide initiative designed to encourage young people to engage with the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. Conducted through the MY Bharat portal, the campaign drew participation from more than 50.42 lakh youth across all 28 states and eight Union Territories. The initiative has become one of the largest digital youth engagement programmes ever conducted in India.
Mandaviya said the achievement reflects the aspirations and enthusiasm of India's youth, who make up nearly 65 percent of the country's population under the age of 35. He highlighted the rapid growth of the MY Bharat platform, which has registered more than 2.19 crore users within three years. Thousands of young people continue to join the platform every day, demonstrating growing trust in its programmes and opportunities.
The Minister said the Guinness World Record belongs to India's youth and showcases their commitment to contributing to the country's development journey.
Digital platform strengthens youth participation
According to Mandaviya, MY Bharat has evolved beyond being a digital platform and has become a space where young people can share ideas, participate in nation-building initiatives and contribute to policymaking. He pointed out that several ideas generated through the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders' Dialogue were reflected in the Union Budget 2026, highlighting the growing influence of youth participation in governance.
During the official Guinness World Records assessment period from 25 to 31 October 2025, the platform recorded more than 8.39 lakh quiz participations. Following extensive verification, digital forensic audits and evidence reviews, Guinness World Records certified 390,812 eligible participants and officially recognised the achievement.
Secretary Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil said MY Bharat has emerged as a trusted platform that encourages meaningful youth engagement through voluntary participation, leadership development and community-focused activities. The record marks a significant milestone in India's efforts to use digital innovation to empower young people and strengthen citizen participation in the journey towards Viksit Bharat@2047.
