Tragic Beach Accident Claims Lives of Palestinian-British Family

A six-year-old Palestinian-British girl, Saja El-Khawas, tragically succumbed to injuries sustained in a beach accident that claimed the lives of her parents and sister earlier this week. Sussex police confirmed her death on Friday.

The family, who traveled from London to Shoreham, became distressed in the waters off the southern coast of England on Tuesday. Despite rescue efforts, her father, Hassan El-Khawas, 55; mother, Zeina Alayn, 37; and sister, Sara El-Khawas, 14; were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the incident was a 'tragic accident, with no third-party involvement.' According to reports by The Daily Telegraph and the Palestinian embassy, the family originally hailed from the Rashidieh refugee camp in southern Lebanon.
