12-year-old elephant found dead Coimbatore, Jan 24 (PTI): A female elephant was founddead near a temple at Kopanari in Periyanaickenpalayam forestrange near here Thursday, forest officials said

The officials, along with a veterinarian, went to thescene and recovered the carcass

A postmortem was conducted on the elephant believedto be 12 years old to find the cause of the death, sourcesfrom the forest department said.
