In a bid to advance key infrastructure and economic initiatives, Mizoram's sole Rajya Sabha member, Vanlalvena, engaged with senior World Bank officials in Washington DC. The talks aimed at obtaining financial and technical backing for strategically important projects.

The proposals covered multipurpose rainwater harvesting efforts, both large-scale and small-scale bamboo industry development, agro-based industry expansion, as well as constructing flyovers and deploying solar-powered stairways in Aizawl. World Bank representatives expressed interest and found the proposals viable for further evaluation.
