According to local officials, the workers were resting on the newly built section of the bridge when it unexpectedly gave in around 3 am. Authorities have identified the deceased as Lokendra, Kuldeep Nishad, Sawant Yadav, Sabhajeet, Pushpendra Chauhan, and Rajesh Pal.

Three injured workers were promptly taken to Hamirpur's district hospital for care. Meanwhile, rescue teams, along with the Lalpura police, are focused on clearing debris to ensure no more laborers remain beneath the rubble.
