The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has confirmed Rs 547.07 crore will be allocated for vital infrastructure projects near the High Court buildings. The Authority also endorsed drafting plans for the Amaravati Economic Region, envisioned to span across nine districts.

The decisions were made during APCRDA's 61st meeting, led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who emphasized urban mobility planning aligning with future capital city needs. The board also accepted a proposal for a Giant Observation Wheel to boost tourism through a Public-Private Partnership model.

Moreover, the Authority approved frameworks for an independent fire regulation system and a special tribunal for resolving construction disputes. The development of a City Gas Distribution Network and expansion of access to ATMs in affected areas were also green-lit.

The APCRDA aims to transform Amaravati into a modern economic hub by laying down comprehensive plans and encouraging economic activity as a pivotal aspect of regional development.
