Assistant public prosecutor held on charge of taking bribe Hyderabad, Mar 25 (PTI): An assistant public prosecutorat a court near here has been arrested for allegedly taking Rs8,000 as bribe, sleuths of the anti-corruption bureau (ACB)said Monday Shakeel Ahmed Ansari allegedly demanded and accepted thebribe from a complainant not to implicate his mother again ina criminal case, an ACB press release said here

Noticing the arrival of ACB officials at hisoffice-cum-residence here, Ansari tore up the currency notes,threw them into the toilet and flushed them out, with a viewto destroying the evidence, the release said

However, the torn notes were recovered from the drainand Ansari was arrested, it added.
