National People's Party supremo and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has condemned the attack and killing of an NPP supporter in Arunachal Pradesh. "Sadden to her that our party worker was beaten to death in Arunachal's Tirap district. May we learn to respect each other and fight election in its true spirit," Conrad said in a statement issued here.

He also extended his condolences to the bereaved family member of Jaley Anna. A NPP worker has been killed by a suspected NSCN(IM) member at a village in Arunachal Pradesh, a district official said. The suspected member of the Isak-Muivah faction of the National Socialist Coucil of Nagaland (NSCN-IM) assaulted Jaley Anna and his friend Kham Nai Abhi, both NPP workers, at Kheti village in Tirap district at around 10 PM on Friday, the official said on condition of anonymity.
