35 candidates file nomination for 2nd phase of Lok Sabha polls in Karnataka

As many as 35 candidates filed their nominations Monday for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections from Karnataka on April 23. Prominent candidates who filed nominations include BJP's G M Siddeshwara from Davangere, Veena Kashappanavar (from Congress-Bagalkot), BJP candidate Raja Amareshwara Naik (from Raichur) Congress candidate Rajashekar Hitnal (Koppal) and BJP candidate Y Devendrappa (Ballari).

The last date for filing nomination is April 4. Scrutiny will take place on April 5 whereas the last date of withdrawal is April 8.
