Cash worth over Rs 4.5 crore seized in last 2 days

Unaccounted cash totalling Rs 4.92 crore has been seized in separate cases since Saturday, police said Sunday. Six people have been detained in this connection and the seized money was meant for booth-level committee members to bribe voters, the police said.
On April 6 and April 7, the cash was seized and the six were caught during a vehicle-check and after a raid on some apartments, Commissioner of police Anjani Kumar said. As of April 6, Rs 48.14 crore worth of liquor, drugs and cash has been seized across Telangana which goes to polls on April 11 in the first phase.
