The city police Thursday said it has launched a new monitoring system on the activities of rowdy-sheeters, assuring its citizens of a safe and secure environment. Police commissioner Anjani Kumar launched the 'rowdy-sheeters module,' which is incorporated in 'TSCOP' mobile application, wherein all the rowdy-sheeters data is available police station-wise, an official press release here said.

Field officers can log in to it with the existing username and verify the rowdies' data. Rowdies' photographs are made available for identification. Their crime details are also made available, the release said. Using the application, the field officers (patrol teams of the police force), patrol cars and blue colts can visit, check their presence and enquire into the activities of the rowdy-sheeters and enter the findings and can geo-tag their location by marking on the map, it said.

Senior officials can also monitor the daily checking report available in the dashboard of TSCOP web service where in zone-wise, police-station wise checking reports can be viewed, the release said. The main objective of the app (TSCOP) launched last year is to ensure better collaboration and operational efficiency of the police at all levels in the districts and commissionerates across the state.
