Mild quake in Odisha

Three western Odisha districts Wednesday experienced a mild earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale, the special relief commissioner's office said. No casualty or loss of property was reported due to the tremor that occurred at 5.47 pm.

The epicentre of the quake was 10 km below the surface of the Earth at latitude 21.6 degrees north and longitude 84.6 degrees east which falls in Deogarh district, the IMD said. However, the tremor was felt also in the districts of Jharsuguda and Sambalpur.
