SCR urged to construct double line for coal supply to plant

The CMD of Telangana's power utilities D Prabhakar Rao Monday urged the Southcentral railway to convert the railway line, which would be used for supply of coal to the 4,000 MW 'ultra mega power plant' atDamarcharla in the state, into a double line

Rao, who had a meeting with the railway officials here, said it has been decided to procure entire coal required for the plant from the state-run Singareni Collieries in the state, an official release said

For the purpose, he urged officials for laying an adouble line from Kothagudem to Dornakal and from Motamari toVishnupuram (200 km), according to the release.
