4 killed in car-truck collision

Four persons of Odisha were killed when their car hit a container truck in Howrah district of West Bengal on Wednesday, the police said. The occupants of the car, who were residents of Khurda and Bhadrak districts of Odisha, were going from Kolkata towards Kolaghat when the accident took place at Dhulagarh on NH-6.

The four-wheeler rammed into the container truck probably after the driver lost control of it, the police said. The car was severely damaged and the driver of the truck fled leaving his vehicle.

The deceased were identified as Manoj Kumar Mohanty (38), P Tejeswar Rao (37), Dilip Kumar Nayak (37) and Digvijay Ray (40)..
