Elderly man injured in Pune wall collapse

A 75-year-old man was injured Wednesday after wall of an old residential structure collapsed on his house in Shukrawar Peth area, police said. A portion of a wall of a 'wada' (an old house with many rooms) collapsed on the tin-roof house of Kisan Jamdade in afternoon, an officer said.

"Jamdade was having lunch in his house at the time of the incident," the officer said, adding that the nature of his injuries is serious but he is out of danger. According to a fire brigade official, the brick wall had become very weak..
