I-T searches at sugar factories in Maha

The Income Tax (I-T) department onThursday carried out searches at some sugar factories inKolhapur district of Maharashtra

Some discrepancies were found in the account books ofthe sugar factories and in view of this, searches were beingconducted at their premises, an I-T official from Delhi toldPTI

"The searches are still in progress," he said, whilerefusing to divulge the names of individuals and the sugarcompanies concerned.
