HM Shah moves resolution to scrap Article 370

Home Minister Amit Shah on Mondaymoved a resolution in Rajya Sabha that Article 370 of theConstitution, which gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir,will not be applicable in the state

Making a statement, Shah said this will come into effectwhen the President gives assent and the central governmentnotifies it

The Upper House witnessed massive uproar soon after theannouncement by the Home Minister.
